QBE, an Australian-based insurance provider, recently debuted their new Brisbane office on Level 18, 300 George Street. Situated in the heart of the CBD within the Turrbal and Yuggera Country, QBE’s newly fitted-out space provides teams with breathtaking views of the city skyline in addition to forefront amenities. The commercial fit out improves the experience and wellbeing of QBE employees through specialist collaboration zones, focus rooms, drop-in benches, tailored workspaces, and a modern kitchen space that encourages collaboration.

 

MBM’s Executive Quantity Surveyor, Loc Tri Nguyen, took the lead on the project with the assistance of Director Autumn Lu and Quantity Surveyor Ojas Chawla. MBM’s cross-state team engagement spanned across the full quantity services, including cost planning from the concept design phase to the progress claims, variations assessments, and incentive drawdown reports. The project met QBE’s goals of improving space functionality for employee well-being and enriching design with a modern architecture ethos.

 

MBM closely collaborated with QBE’s internal project team and external consultants to ensure the highest quality of deliverables. The expertise of GroupGSA, Floth, Hera Engineering, Generate, Aptus Building Consultants and FDC Construction & Fitout were essential in ensuring the project’s successful delivery.

 

Loc Tri was thrilled to be involved in the partnership with QBE and the opportunity to deliver a great outcome for all stakeholders. The project reached practical completion in June 2023, with QBE’s new George Street office now open to employees.
